You’ve got questions and we’re here to give you the answers.
Over the last 30 years of treating patients, we’ve had a lot of questions. Here we’ve answered the most popular ones. Keep reading to get your questions answered and find out how to ask your own.
How much is Botox?
Botox is $10 per unit; however, we prefer to use Dysport as it tends to activate sooner and last longer in our experience. Dysport is $4 per unit.
How much is Juvederm per syringe?
We use the Restalyne family of products, and that doesn’t include Juvederm.
We find that we have a broader array of tools with Restalyne products.
We can use a very delicate and fine product to outline your lips, or a long-lasting and “heavy lifter” to help add a pop of perfection to the cheeks and other fillers that are in between.
We even have fillers that stretch and move with you, resulting in a more natural appearance.
How much are facials?
Facials start at $75 with add-ons available. You can do a facial and a chemical peel for $105.
You can add microdermabrasion (similar to a hydrafacial) for $105.
Who does your injectables?
All injectables are done by our award-winning Medical Director, Dr. Jeff Carls.
He’s been in town almost 40 years and has a reputation for getting natural results.
When is your next open house?
We have about eight a year, and the schedule is posted on our website, check the times.
Why do you insist on using A-Cute Derm sunscreen?
A once-daily application protects you on both the UVA and UVB spectrum at 97% or more.
This means you don’t burn, and you are protected against the UVA rays that cause not only cancer but wrinkles!
Can I use Botox on my lips for wrinkles?
You can, but you risk hitting a muscle that will cause you to drool when you take a drink.
We find that using other methods to reduce the wrinkles offer a better and more long-lasting result.
For example, plasma pen is a soft surgery that will give you three years of less wrinkles and skin tightening in that area. The cost for that is $400.
What is plasma pen?
Plasma Pen opens the door to a revolutionary soft surgery approach to wrinkles, and crepey skin that brings an end to invasive skin treatments offers faster recovery time and improves the appearance of skin without going under the knife.
Whether you are looking to tighten, lift, or rejuvenate your skin, soft surgery with Plasma Pen offers the most natural and attainable results.
Plasma Pen treatment is like no other treatment.
The architecture of the skin remains fully intact immediately after soft surgery with no thinning or open wounds.
It lasts around three years, is affordable.
How Does Soft Surgery Work?
Soft surgery with Plasma Pen means no down-time, no damaging effects, and very little aftercare.
During soft surgery, the skin is treated with controlled bursts of plasma gas in order to lift and tighten the treated area. Without damaging the tissue, Dr. Carls performs numerous soft surgery treatments, including forehead lifts, crows feet smoothing, jaw augmentation, eye lifts, and bunny lines.
Our soft surgery treatments can also be used to smooth acne scarring and uneven skin tone.
Because Plasma Pen soft surgery procedures are non-evasive, there is no need for a general anesthetic, as required with more traditional surgeries, and they are carried out by approved Plasma Pen aestheticians.
Soft surgery is ideal for mid facial, lower facial, and advanced skin care treatments.
What can I do for spots?
Photofacials, using intense pulse light therapy are an absolute must to rid your self of dark spots and small broken red capillaries.
It’s a quick, non invasive treatment that can be done as often as once a month.
The ideal candidate has not been in the sun prior to treatment.
The brown spots come to the surface and look like coffee grounds, and then they flake off over time.
Dermatologists have used this therapy as the gold standard for treating spots and healthy skin rejuvenation for years.
